Students from 4 yrs to 10 yrs and beginners all ages.

Our Folklorico I dance class is a fun and interactive way to introduce to dance and the arts. 

 

Our Folklorico I Students will learn the fundamentals of dance, rhythm and basic Mexican folkloric zapateo (dance step forms). They will be introduced to basic choreography.

 

Our teachers will help hone listening and focus skills, responsiveness to directions as well as help develop motor movements skills all while instilling a joy for dance.

Folklorico I students will learn dance repertoire from a region in Mexico which they will perform at their end of the year recital.

 

Our hope is that students will begin to awaken their love for dance and other art forms as well as the feeling of excitement at presenting something they like in front of others. It is in our hope that we will help in building their confidence as well.
