Students from 11 yrs to 17 yrs and beginners between the age range.

In our Folklorico II dance class, students will be introduced to choreography, stage awareness and stage presence.

​

Dance, rhythm and folkloric zapateo (dance step forms) and faldeo (dance skirt movements) will be covered from a basic to intermediate level. There will be more focus on improving muscle movement and zapateo technique.

One of our class goals will be to learn repertoire of different Mexican regions for an end of the year recital. Our hope is to give students the opportunity to build their confidence and to strengthen their ties in following their dreams and passion for the arts.

 

It is a privilege for us to be able to nurture students and to teach them the beauty and importance that heritage and culture can carry. We hope that students will take much more than just knowledge of dancing with them throughout their lives. ​
